AMC and 10+2

10+2 is a new security protocol which requests data from the importer and the steamship line prior to a container loading at a foreign port. 10+2 transmittals are also referred to as Importer Security Filings (ISF). This ruling became effective on January 26th, 2009.
AMC's order management system is online with US Customs and has dedicated fields for all of the info required for the 10+2 transmission. Additionally, AMC is the first party to receive the information which must be transmitted to US Customs.
